Well, Hello....let me introduce myself

Hi! My name is Dawn and I am a fabulous mess!

Yes, its been a while since I posted on my blog. A lot of you probably thought I gave it up. In a way I did. But what can you do??? Life happens and I decided that I didn't want to look at it happening, I want to be happening in it!

I posted on Instagram today a quote that I ran across and absolutely loved. "One day she woke up different" and that's what happened. I woke up different. Just because I'm getting older doesn't mean I have to stop doing the things that bring me joy. Or worrying about what someone will think or say. So what, everyone has an opinion. It doesn't have to reflect on me though. I heard one time before that "what someone says about me is none of my business." That's true...if you let people's thoughts and actions control our minds and actions we are no longer living our lives but theirs. So now I'm different. I'm ME!

OK, ok that's my spill on where I've been...enough of that.

This past weekend the hubs and I went to Little River SC for our anniversary. It was soooooooooo cold!!! Rained really hard and we were under a tornado watch for a little while. Yes, we had all the things happening. In the end it turned out really well. Friday we just hung out at the hotel and went to dinner at the Boundary House. It was so good. The service was great and the wait wasn't long at all.

Saturday, after the weather excitement; we went antique and boutique shopping. I found two rings that I love. I will post about them later. We got a few drinks and some appetizers at Crab Catcher's. They are located on Little River's waterfront. There is a little bit of everything there. Dolphin tours to casino tours. It was just a little chilly for the outdoor dining. We still enjoyed the food and drinks. That evening we finished at Tidewater Grill. This place was fabulous. Small and casual and the food was phenomenal!

Below is what I wore Saturday to Tidewater Grill & Bar. The shacket is a size small and is TTS. I paired it with a graphic T that has "True Love" on it, size small. I wore my favorite flare Kan Kan button fly jeans, size 25.

Jeans and Shacket were purchased at B's on Breazeale.
