Right Where You Are

Hello everyone!! Back at the work grind. I'm thankful I have a job and one that I enjoy. Such a blessing.
Anyway, I will not keep you long today. I wanted to share with you something that I heard a few weeks ago on a podcast. I listen to random podcasts, anything from spiritual to financial; crime to encouragement and all in between. I was listening to Anne Graham Lotz's podcast "Living in the Light" and she was talking about serving where you are. Sometimes we think that we are underqualified to serve. I think we get thoughts of serving mixed up with being in the spotlight like pastors and evangelists; head line speakers and authors.
When God asks us to serve others its not always being in the spotlight and being part of some big production with thousands of people in attendance. Serving is right where you are. In your house, at your workplace, in the grocery store, at the gym. Any and everywhere. Use what you have. If you are babysitting; use that time to show Jesus to those precious children. If at work, post a yellow sticky on the mirror of scripture. Make it known you are a believer of Christ. You will be surprised at the welcomed reaction. Suddenly people will ask you for prayer. I honestly believe when you are personally asked to pray for someone that it is an honor to do so. Are you coaching a baseball team, use that. Do you like to send cards? Do that. Have a heart for the homeless, make care packages. Use what you have right where you are.
Be the light that the world needs. That is one of the reasons I started my blog back up. We are so restricted on what and where we can go with Covid-19 cases up in our community. Its easy to get discouraged. I started this back up to encourage you all as well as myself. We may be the on Bible someone reads.
So with all that being said, we are to be Jesus' hands and feet. We are the church. Let's just serve our people. ALL OF THEM. Right where we are. See the need, meet the need. I promise you will get more of a blessing out of it than the one you are blessing.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you all have a great week.
Blessings,
Dawn
