Mother’s Day is Coming

Well, I’ve had a busy week. Between work, ballgames and try to get my YouTube channel back up and running; I’m ready to run to my happy place. Yes, the lake.

And, it’s Mother’s Day weekend. We are planning a Mother’s Day Dinner with some neighbors at the lake. Steak, potatoes and salad. I may make some appetizers and of course a bottle of wine. Then on Sunday, I will be meeting with my two heart beats for dinner. I do love to see my babies, yes, they will always be my babies. When I look at them I don’t see the grown adults they have become. I see that little boy throwing anything that resembled a ball. That blonde hair blue eyed girl running in a dress barefooted in the yard. Time, yes it flies.

I always get emotional about Mother’s Day. My mom passed 17 years ago and I still need her as much now as I did then. Some days are easy, I remember and smile. Then others, not so easy. But she is definitely in a better place, I rest in knowing I will see her mischievous smile again.
